Plaimont
A.O.C Saint Mont
Gascogne | FRANCE
40 years ago, the Plaimont project was seen as a slightly crazy ideal. Today, it is a reality, comfortably set in the midst of the Gascogne region in France and boasting both national and international recognition.
As a leader of Southwestern French wines, the Union of Plaimont winemakers distinguishes itself by: Its commitment to the preservation and defense of autochthonous grape varieties, its innovative work in ampelographic research – the creation of “cuvées emblématiques” produced in the main Pyrenean Piemont appellations, the value it sets on the enhancement of the region’s cultural heritage and wine tourism, and the innovation as an answer to environmental issues.
