Pago de los Capellanes
Tómas Postigo
D.O. Ribera del Duero
Castilla y León | SPAIN
Tomás Postigo started in the wine industry in 1984 at Protos, the first winery/cooperative in Ribera del Duero, where he stayed for 4 years till 1988. His position was oenologist although in these times they were called chemists, there were no winemakers in Spain at that time. He left Protos in 1988 to start Pago de Carraovejas. He stayed there till 2008, in total 20 years. During his time at Pago de Carraovejas apart from being partner he designed the winery estate, was the winemaker, planted and maintained the vineyards, was technical director, oenologist, etc … he was the alma mater of the winery, but he decided to left Pago de Carraovejas and began his Project looking for his own decisions regarding quality, without other partners.
Nowadays Tomás and his four sons are running the winery, with an artisanal and quality philosophy. We are a reference in the appellation Ribera del Duero because of our wines and our brand.
